Don't get your hopes up. When I was pregnant with my 2ND child i was told through out my whole pregnancy every time i had an ultrasound that it was a girl however when the baby came out it wasn't a girl. He is now six years old and he thinks it's funny every time his grandpa tells him about how he was suppose to be a girl and that his name was suppose to be Tiffany

Most of the time, they are correct. If they can't figure it out, they will be honest and tell you they just can't tell. But if you got a good look between the baby's legs, they would definitely be able to identify the "boy parts" vs. the "girl parts".
If you're lucky enough to get another ultrasound, I would wait anyway just to make sure. Either that or keep all the receipts for the stuff you buy!
Congrats and good luck!

I was also told im having a girl and was over the moon however the midwife told me that she can only be 80/85% certain so dont go mad on the pink baby clothes! My friends sister was told she was having a boy and painted a nursery all blue and bought LOADS of blue clothes>> when she went into labour out popped a girl!!! She cried her eyes out cos she had nothing bought in for a girl! This also happened to two guys my fiancé works with >>> So i wouldnt say to count on it but there is a massive chance its a girl! I've bought a few pink baby clothes but not much just incase! :-) CONGRATS!

ultrasounds are usually right, but definitely not always! if you are having another done in 2 weeks, you should probably wait before you go buy anything pink, just in case! and if i were you, i would keeping asking them to double check every time you have an ultrasound!

first off ultrasounds arnt always 100%, i have proof of that sitting in my living room watching cartoons, lol. Dont let that worry you, I would wait till the next ultrasound to be sure.....your lucky, i had one ultrasound and that was it and than i gave birth to the complete opposite gender they told me.

you can wait...its just 2 weeks away but they are usually pretty accurate, if he wants you in 2 weeks from now its not cause hes confused about the gender, he has other things like her size and development to determine.congrats!!!!girls are a blast.

They were right about the sex with both of my kids and I had a boy and then a girl.
They have made mistakes though. Just ask at your next appointment if it's still a girl!

Chances are, high that it's a girl. About the one who said you carry girls high and boys low, that's not true, because I carried both my daughters low and they are girls. In our culture, if you carry high, it's a boy, if you carry low, it's a girl. For my culture, it's been pretty accurate.

I guess you should probably wait until your next one if they don't seem to sure! But chances are it's a girl!
