How come people in the US say "Tuna fish" isn't that kind of obvious?

Not to put down the good ole' US of A... I love you guys! Just a curiosity. You're not mad at me are you?

I dont think everyone does that. Im from Iowa and ive only heard tuna by itself.

well if jessica simpson thinks chicken of the sea is really chicken...i guess they decided to make sure people like her know that tuna is a fish!!!
