He came home from night shift.
Tired.
He woke late.
To a text.
From his girlfriend.
Wondering where he was.
He arrived to pick her up from 15 minutes late.
But his girlfriend.
Seemed to forgive him.
They arrived at his place to find his mother watching TV
And they sat on an easy chair.
Sharing as much time together as they could.
Because

She would attend.
Creative writing class...and would have to go before 6 pm.
