you might be able to get off the wool lint by using dryer sheets and putting clothes back into dryer on fluff setting ( no heat)
I know you can remove pet hair by putting on rubber glove (used for dish washing) and running hand over clothes... I wouldn't recommend re wetting clothes as this may embed
fibers further..
you can also use lint roller or clothes shaver but this is tedious

good luck!

you're supposed to wash wool by itself, and by hand, in cold water. Try the lint brush thing. I know it takes forever, but it's a start.

Wash again by hand.

Lay it on a towel on top of a table.

Pat it gently try with another towel.

Pull it gently into as near its orginal size and shape as you can get it.

Place between two towels in a warm dry place on a hard surface.

Never, never, never wash woollen garments in an ordinary American washer.

Some European-style front-loading washers can was SUPERWASH woolen garments only in a special program with special detergents. No other type of woollen garment is suitable for machine washing and no other type of washing machine is suitable for washing even those SUPERWASH garments. Agitators, bleach, ordinary detergents and a heavy wash are death on a woollen garment.

Treat the incident as part of life's learning process! :-)
