I like Dean Koontz and Michael Crichton can you suggest other authors/books that are similar. Thanks

Ahhh, I was about to suggest Dean Koontz. I think he's dethroned Stephen King as the Master Of Horror. Have you read Odd Thomas? It's really great. There's a sequel, Odder Thomas, I think. I haven't gotten to that one yet, but if it's as good as the first, it'll be worth my wait.
