Marissa - you have two problems here.
The first is that It's true, Oscars grow very big, and they grow very fast. If you cannot get yourself at least a 75 gallon aquarium within the next month, take back the fish. 75 gallons is good for one fish or a pair, who will share the tank in relative peace. (you can get away with a 50 gallon, but once going there why not do it right once and for all)
This is where your second problem comes in. Two Oscars will only get along as juveniles. The bigger and older they get, the more territorial and aggressive they get. You would have to be extremely lucky to end up with a pair out of the two, and if you don't they will start to fight. These fish are monogomous, they form male/female lasting relationships, and the best way to make sure you have a compatible and long lasting pair is to start with a few young Oscars and raise them until a pair forms out of them, then remove the remainders.
Females get to about 12", Males can get to 14" or more. Please research fish before buying them, not after.

A 20 gallon aquarium is not even close to big enough. They grow to 12-15 inches, are a very fat bodied fish that create a lot of waste, plus they are very territorial. For those reasons they need minimum 55 gallons per fish. So for those 2 oscars, you are looking at minimum 110 gallons for only the 2 oscars, preferably 125 gallons. If you can not get a tank this size, I recommend you take them back the the store and get smaller fish for the tanks you have.

Oh my! You have some amazing fish...Now the important part is going to be taking good care of them...Our oscar is about 10 inches long right now and we can even pet him when hes not being pissy!! Oscars are very friendly fish...If you give your oscars attention daily the will give it back...When my husband goes to feed our fish he comes up to him....Now to answer your question...I have ONE oscar and he's in a 55 gallon tank and that is pushing it. To give your fish a good life and for them to grow full size they need to be in at least a 125 gallon...a 150 would be better...your fish could grow to be 15-18 inches long...So imagine having that big of fish in just a 55 gallon tank...it would be miserable...I hope my answer helped! Be sure to name them to...When i call mine by his name he swims to the top! I'm not crazy really...oscars are like dogs...

Oscars get about a foot long so they require quite a large tank. Not only that, but they can be rather roudy fish and need plenty of space to move around. Multiple fish makes this even more important as they will need enough space to stay out of each others way. I would not recommend anything less than a 70 gallon for 2 adult oscars.

They need at least a 55 gallon! They will get at least a foot long each, and they are very messy. The bigger tank, the better.

oscars get to be at least 25 to 30 inches long.. They will out grow the tank for sure. If your giving them fish to eat even faster. Just becarful with gold fish , they habor lots of diseases and they can get it. the best food is worms or shrimp.. any live food should be frozen to prevent disease... even the goldfish...
