I have an Averatac notebook 2200 series and there is a button labeled "s" next to the power one. What is it?

I know the button labeled "s" is a power save button, but I have no idea how to activate it! I tried pushing it but nothing happens! Please help

it adjust CPU speed to conserv battery life. read you owners manual for more info or you can find it on the manufacturer web site..
