You answered your own self, when you woke up and it was just a dream...either subconsciously, or consciously, you've been with him a year, and depending on your age...you want to get married to this man. Just make sure he's good to you, you are not too young, you and he if you were married could support yourself. Don't get married just to be married...believe me, marraige is alot of work, to keep it good and longterm, you never quit trying, and the honeymoon, no matter how much in love you are, eventually dies down a little...but, you can keep the romance going if you are going into marraige with the right intentions. If he does pop the question, make sure, you know what your intentions are when you marry....don't marry if you are wanting him to make you happy, or want to marry for the money.ect..you have to have unconditional love, because even in just a relationship dating, you have your highs and lows to it. And you want to go into marraige being realistic. Knowing what YOU want, and not just what he wants...if you want a long, happy marraige, you have to go into it, knowing he's going to do or say something, probably not even realizing he did something you didn't like or do, and vise versa. You want it to be a spiritual bond between the two of you, not religious, though that helps, but, a great marraige that survives has the spiritual relationship, which means, you don't live solely for him, you still have a life, and only you can make yourself happy and only you can deal with your life issues.. You don't ever want revenge, or get jeolous, you want someone that wants the same things you do, such as a loving relationship, not just sex, though sex is good, but, you don't take things out on your partner that are really your issues...marraige these days is sooo overrated...and we go into it thinking the romance will be there forever...you wake up one day and realize you have to work, unless you are both filthy rich, but, if you have kids, both need to want them, you both have realistic dreams of what you want out of life and you are there for each other to get the dreams and goals you want in life, you both support each other's emotions, dreams, family, friends, ect. An unconditional love, where you bring each other up, you want each other to do better for themselves and you are happy for your partner. But, the dream is you are wanting to get married...and you have been together a year, and you know it's getting close enough time to at least get engaged...And one piece of advice...one always loves one more than the other does...why, I don't know...but, it turns out like that...so if you have a spiritual relationship, and again, not talking religion, but, like two souls that come as one. And another thing when he does pop the question, go to marraige counseling first...and of course alot of this depends on your age too...maybe Valentine's Day, he'll get you an engagement ring...it's just around the corner...but, if not, just hang in there, it will happen whether it be him or someone else...good luck..

People just throw dream interpretations out there by taking the dream and making it into a metaphor. It's all made up or in a book that's made up.

Your brain is best at interpreting your dreams, because it's your own brain feeding them to you. How could your brain trick your brain by sending it "riddles" to solve? It's a message to your brain, from your brain. Your brain can't predict the future if it hasn't been there. Your interpretation is the only correct interpretation.

The faculty of all thought lies in the brain, so your brain knows you'll go to answers.yahoo.com to find an answer. The message here, from me, is the one message your brain was trying to get across to you: People can't interpret your dreams for you.

according to my family they say that your dreams no matter good, bad, werid they all mean something. like if you see someone dieing it means they are going to have a long life and so on. dreams try to tell us something but you have to figure out.
you have to look between the lines and see the meaning. maybe your dream is telling you that your in a long term relation and it's staying that way which sounds good right?

Depends on if your heart was beating from either panic or excitement when you woke up!! If you want him to and he won't, welcome to the club! If you don't want him to, and he's been giving hints, you should tell him how you feel, not ready etc. If you want him to and you think he will, congratulations. If you don't want him to, and neither does he, then the dream may not mean anything!

Good luck!

Remember, that is your dream, your desire. It means you want to be married, it doesn't mean he will ask you. but, that may give you hint that you too may be connected. Tell him the dream, and maybe he will know what to do :)

Good luck!

If you were happy in the dream, it means it was wishful thinking. If you were unhappy in the dream, it means it was your subconscious fears.

I had a friend named Sigmund Freud... He told me once that we dream what our Unconscious mind wishes but we are afraid to wish that while we are awake. Therefore your dream means that you wants that this guy ask you to marry him.
Wowwww that was easy!!!

you would have to give more details on what was all in your dream, but to dream of being happily married and proud of your mate portends a quarrel with a lover.
