YES HE IS!!1 HE IS THE BEST!! HES ONE OF THE BEST IN WWE TODAY!! I LOVE HIM!! IM HIS #1 FAN!! HES MY HERO!!! MY IDOL!! I LOOK UP TO HIM!! LOL BUT YYYEEEAA!!! HES SO AWSOME!! GAHHH....... Rey Misterio lost to wrestlers such as Khali, Mark Henry, etc. How can you call him the best ever? The only reason that he was the World Heavyweight Champion is because Eddie passed away and the WWE felt sorry for him. Had Eddie still been alive, he wouldn't have been World Champion. He was losing to some mid-card talent as well as guys who can't wrestle really well, while he was the World Champion. World Champions shouldn't lose cleanly to guys like Mark Henry. The best wrestlers in my opinion are Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, etc. Rey Misterio will never be mentioned among these legends. He was a good cruiserweight. He is definitely a more likeable person than Cena. But, as a World Champion, he comes up short. So, I don't agree that he is the best wrestler ever.

I've always had a negative attiude about smaller wrestlers. That being said, the "best" has to have it all. Some wrestling skill, a character that stands the test of time, and the ability to go from heel to hero and back to heel without missing a beat. They also must be able to get the crowd fired up with their vocal chords.
Early, it was Andre the Giant. His pure size alone made him quite a commodity. Tough to understand, and slow in the ring, but everyone loved him.
Obviously next is Hulk Hogan. He carried wrestling for over a decade, saved it from obscurity, actually. Great with the mic, and obviously played the hero/heel role to perfection.
I think the next three kind of blend together because their storylines intertwined. HHH, Austin, and the Rock. Austin was the man, hands down, as far as a great character. When he left HHH carried the load for a long time, and the Rock was well, the Rock.
Nowadays it's tough to say. Too many title belts and lack of an ultimate mega-star have left wrestling like pro boxing. There are still great stars...Undertaker, HBK, Kane, etc...but this new generation lacks what Mankind and Flair brought to the ring in their heyday.
Mysterio? No way. Can't hold a candle to anyone...too one dimensional.

no he is not the best..he maybe one of the best in the high flying technique...but he don't have a mic skills...he is only loved by kids,he didn't change the wrestling face....steve austin,the rock and john cena are the best...but rey is ok
