Just say that. Be normal. Express an interest in hot chicks. Buy posters of hot chicks and get some good looking frames for them. Put up one or two on your walls.
If your parents are not freaked out or anything, then just slowly get more and more posters, and put up more and more until you giftwrap the whole room in posters.

Oh, wow. I think thirteen is just a little too young to hang posters of pretty girls on your wall. Are you sure about this? I think you should have interests in cars and sports instead of pretty girls. The reason I'm saying that and not what you said about us girls is because I don't talk like that. I really can't believe you're saying this.
I feel it necessary to answer your question. I do want to make my two points worth it. My suggestion is that you should try to hang one poster and see your parents' reaction. If they accept, then good for you and if they don't, respect your parents' decision because they honestly do know best. As hard as that is to believe...

I mean your bedroom in your own private place, therefore you should be able to put them up. Maybe just ask them how they would feel if you put up pictures of girls I think so long as they are not nude they should come round to the idea. Every young boy does it at some point. If your parents arn't prude and are pretty open minded people then I don't think you should have a problem. I hope you get to put them up.

Why tell them at all? Just do it. I'm sure they're expecting things like that your age. After all, it IS YOUR ROOM. They were kids once, too. But if you're that worried about it, just ask them flat out if they would have a problem with it.

im 14 tomorrow and i asked my mom if i could ands she said, as long as you are living under my house you can't do this and you can't do that(even about chicks) and she said when you have your own house you can do waht you want. ibet your parents will say that, unless your parents are completeley differnet, i dont know why a parent would let them though . . .lol
