Your normally happy baby suddenly seems like a doppleganger........... He will be miserable, whiney, chew on any available surface, drool, be fussy with feeds, probably have nappy rash and/or loose poos and you will generally want to give him away :)....................it's not all that bad........look for swollen red gums and sometimes they will have "cold"like symptoms.
use paracetamol for pain, teething jell, cold chew things and iceblocks if old enogh or crush and spoon.

**Babies generally will get fussy and have red, swollen gums. They may want to chew things or put their fingers in their mouths. Of course, they fuss about a lot of things. So the process of elimination is your best bet. If you think he is teething (and it is possible at his age), then treat his symptoms and hope that he gets some relief. The key is to use all-natural methods that will not harm baby if the problem is not what you think it is. This is an all-natural method that I use for my babies.
CLOVES:Natural Pain Killer
Make a tea out of cloves (the ones you keep in your kitchen to make apple pie). Then dip the corner of a wash cloth in the tea and let her suck on it. Cloves have pain-relieving qualities and it is 100% all natural (if you use purified or distilled water:) This really works.
Tea
Boil 1 cup of water. Pour over 2 tsp. of whole cloves. (You can use the powdered cloves, but they are harder to strain completely.)
Let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain out the cloves and keep the tea. Let cool.
You can give the cloth to baby while it is a little warm, but make sure it isn't too hot. It doesn't take much to keep her happy.
Take the leftover tea and pour it into ice cube trays. Freeze and store in the freezer in a zip-lock bag. Pop one out and defrost any time you need it. (You may not need a whole cube every time, so you could pour the tray compartments half full and make smaller cubes. That would cut down on waste.)
***If he does not seem to get relief, then teething may not be the problem and you could move on to another treatment. The thing that I would do is give him an enema. Bowel health is connected to a lot of other body functions and can cause various problems from fever to headache. An enema will cleanse the bowel and open up his body where it might be congested.

Hi :D Love the name, we share the same name. My name is Danni. Anyway, for your question, you'll know your baby is teething when he seems very very cranky a lot and has the urge to chew on just about everything. Give him a soft teething ring or toy and he should be just fine :)

My daughter always got sick, the dr said it wasn't related, but everytime she got sick another tooth popped out.
Sometimes it can take a long time for them to come out. It may seem like its going to come out and then goes back it. I'm sure it doesn't really do that but it may seem like it. I think it took weeks for my daughters.
