The Truth will always come to light. Whether it's a year, or 2 yrs.

I am not sure if I understand this question.

If you think he lied about something that happened 1 year ago, then why within that year if you suspected something, why didn't you ask him/her about it?

If you found out something from a friend about the spouse a year later, why should it matter now if you already made vows, have trust, even married the person and had kids etc........ why even bring up the past? What has happened, happened in the past. Today is the future.

That's where some marriages go wrong is because there is always a spouse who always brings up the past and just can't let it go! Don't let the past ruin what you have!

of course not if my husband did something a year two weeks or five years ago and i had to find out from someone else it would still hurt it would hurt cause i had to find out from some one Else's mouth not his what you do in the dark will always come to the light and that goes for any thing so it is definitely possible to find the truth out a year or some time down the road and I'm not talking about cheating either

Men will never admit when they're lying. You more than likely will find out from someone else. That always makes you feel like the wife is always last to know.

If its been a year...(and its not cheating) and you've seen behavior improvements, or it was something VERY small and no harm was caused, let it go.

But if it was somthing major, like lieing about credit card purchases, a family members death, illegitmet children, or cheating, then it needs to be addressed. But do so in calm manner!

It depends on the nature of the lie.

The more time that passes, the more difficult it will become to find out the truth.

It is strange, however, that somehow the truth always comes out.

Lie or no lie, a yr later what does it matter? U married for better or worse. U have to learn to communicate & then forgive. I have learned that when I use the word "we" in talks, it workks wonders

As long as someone is willing to tell you the truth and not their distorted version of the truth then it is worth knowing.

is there any sort of evidence to back your friends claim?

if there's nothing to support this other persons claims, and if this issue isn't that serious, id take your spouse's side. why start something where there shouldn't be anything?

If it happened a year ago and it is really no big deal, just a little white lie, don't sweat it.
