AnswerWorks® is a cross-lingual question-answering engine that allows companies to add an easy-to-use natural-language interface to Help systems and web-based knowledge repositories. AnswerWorks lets users get answers to questions phrased in everyday language. Users simply type in questions and AnswerWorks retrieves the most pertinent topics. In a conventional search, the user's query needs to match the exact form of a word to be recognized. Using AnswerWorks, if the Help file contains the word "making" but not "make" or "makes", AnswerWorks will still return a likely topic based on a search for "make" - or even "build". The result is increased customer satisfaction and decreased support costs.

AnswerWorks' cross-lingual support allows non-English speakers to query an English language knowledge base in their native language. In addition, AnswerWorks can index practically any document type (e.g., HTML, XML, PDF, etc.) and can even be deployed to integrate with database-driven content management systems.

AnswerWorks is available in both client and server versions and can be configured to search multiple knowledge repositories. Companies use AnswerWorks for the desktop to allow customers to access local help content through a natural language interface. AnswerWorks can be configured to respect user profiles so that users can only query content that is relevant to their jobs.

Analytics uses information gathered by AnswerWorks to generate online reports that provide insight regarding users' needs and interests as well as any content groups.

Just from a quick web search and a brief read, it appears to be associated with a trojan or spyware. Delete it through add/remove programs. Run some antivirus or antispy scans in 'safe mode' (tap the F8 key upon boot up before your welcome screen appears, select safe mode only). Remove anything your scans find regarding that.
