Or tights for that matter, my boyfriend remarked that you can tell which side is the rear from the skidmarks, before he busted out in gufaws and giggles. (of course that was before I slapped him up side of his head - but it never occured to me all this time that I've been wearing them).

Is there a front and back on pantyhose?

Only specialty hose, with a pattern or "Back" seam would make it obvious that there is a front and back, but with ordinary hose, there doesn't seem to be a front or a back.

Well, now I'm getting worried, when I get older I may start to have the "saggy bottom" -problem. There are only so many kinds of exercises that we can do when we do get older.
I don't want support for my front, when I need it for my backside.

Many brands do not have a front or back. The types that do are either preshaped to fit a leg, have reinforced heels, back seams, or certain types of shaping hosiery. If you cannot tell a distinct front or back, there probably isn't one.

You can till get them with a front and back. But they cost a lot more because of the manufacturing. Look for "boarded" pantyhose.

The manufacture takes an extra step in the final stages of making them. They insert a form that looks like a foot and steam the material to make it take on the shape of the form.

Boarded pantyhose are not popular because they do cost more. But if look hard enough, you can find them.

And for those tights or pantyhose that have no labels or other indicators, use the location of the gusset. Normally that is located towards the front.

You know, I don't think it matters which way you wear them. Some brands might have a tag on one side, so maybe you'd consider that the back... But they're made the same front and back, aren't they?

Interesting question.
