Recently i saw a Bollywood film. i loved the dancing and the music. Everytime a couple was about to kiss, another song broke out! I have had it explained that there is no kissing, nudity or lovemaking in Indian films. My question is this, I know that our American movies are available in India, and I woder how they are percieved. I think in many American films there is often a lot of kissing and tother activities. Do they seem particularly base, rude or offensive to an Indian audience? Just curious! Thanks for your answer!

Normal families that like watching family movies think it is very rude because a kid in India seeing kissing is as bad as an 8 year old in the US seeing a nude woman. However, single men rent american movies for the fact that they have kissing and sometimes nude scenes in it. Some American movies are appreciated in India, mostly comedy movies that are PG and are enjoyed by a growing number of people in India.

Well things in india are kept under wraps even though we know everyone has sex since thats how babies are made :-p people just dont like to talk about it openly. Unless you are with a bunch of guys.
The kissing, ive seen it in some movies & it doesnt really add anything & they still did the song sequence so lol its fine either way for me.
I rented the movie Hostel when I visited this summer & THANK GOD I didnt play it during that night with my cousins parents. I wouldve gotten my *** whooped. But I watched it the next day thinking it was a horror film & my cousin & his friends being very active in the church & stuff. They were like "jasper what is this!?? you said it was a horror film, its nothing but smut film!!" I busted out laughing cause I tried to fastforward it but the cd frove on a frame that was a nude shot so one of the friends just ejected the cd & threw it out.

Each to their own...some love it some find it offensive. but it all co exists. so the choice to watch a movie or not is yours. We do have a choice. however, I wish some of my learned friends studied cultures a little more before passing sweeping judgments on entire populations! I'm sure they would be wiser on the 'sex education' bit but lets meet and talk the world today and their IQ would be on display for all to see.

American films has given us a view that in real life every time a girl meets a boy they jump to bed.

Yes, they are such prudes, Thats why they are the second most populated country on the face of the Earth. Go figure. MOst repressed nations are chomping at the bite for what they can't have, maybe if they showed a little sex in films they would have sucha population problem and could educate their populace about contraception. Jeez
