some sort of drug screening. Do you think since I have a good job and my taxes are being used to support welfare and government assited people, I think they should under-go a drug screen in order to receive my tax money. Fair or Not??? (I belive it might help shape up the failing poverty problem and force people to get a job!)

I have been taking polygraph tests, filling tinkle bottles and donating hair for the past 36 years and it hasn't hurt me. Of course I am not a criminal either.

Would you want a drug user watching your heart-lung machine when they might be in a haze or need a fix so bad they walk out on you?

Welfare and Food Stamps have been a food for drugs & booze trader's business for forty years now. We could call the program - - - P I S S & P A Y

Interesting premise...I'm not sure that it would be helpful in solving the poverty problem-I'd worry that it could result in an increase in crime since anyone who fails the screening would no longer be eligible to receive support.

What if they agree to undergo treatment? Or is it a 1 strike and you're out type of thing?

not all poverty is based on or because of drugs. I am poor and I DO NOT DO DRUGS THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
