Nope, not really. I don't think in general to say Singaporeans are selfish. But I prefer to say that Singaporeans are more kiasu than other countrymen.
Actually, I quite like and agree with what Ron Lim has mentioned. I've seen several Singaporeans giving up seats to the elderly on board of buses or mrts. And personally, I'm also not selfish thus I think not all Singaporeans are really selfish.
But to each of its own, you've to agree that everyone is selfish himself, as long as you don't hurt or harm anyone. It will be good enough.

Singaporeans are selfish to a certain extent. They are willing to spend thousands of dollars on a brand new car but would not want to spend extra $1 on a packet of rice. But then, they're self-less when someone needy begs for money. They are ready to donate whatever they can to the poor.
Recently, our GST is on a hike and everyone is complaining about it. Think of it in a long run and stop being selfish. You will be helping countless of elderly and poor when building ramps and lifts and shelters in the future.

Singapore have plently of donation chairty program in SIngapoe... Singaporean in every event donated more then 4 million dollars..
I took down many pictures whereby Singaporean giving their sits to elderly and those who need it...
I took down many pictures on that Singaporean queue up to get into MRT....
And also donate to those selling tissue....
Singapore youths organising program to help the poor... I myself is the Community service committee and i organise many event to help the needy..
Well, in Singapore, teher are minority people still selffish.. i cant deny that... but from my experience, China are more kiasu... (hehe.. really)

not all, young man! otherwise, there wouldn't be any NKF, S'pore Children Society, the yearly President Charity Show, S'pore Red Cross, S'pore Mercy Relief, Community Chest, Home Nursing Foundation & many, many, many more. so, who dares to think that s'poreans are selfish?

in a small place like Singapore being the 1st , just like early bird catches the worm just being in there its their habit i would say not selfish
