There is a possibility that your ram has become unseated or has died. Turn over the laptop and open the memory panel (check the manual). Check if the ram is properly seated. If it is then you should contact a PC technician for further assistance.

There is a small possibly that it could be the battery or charger.

If the hard drive is not working there would be visual warnings displayed on screen.

Hard disk went kaplooey. Get a new hard disk drive and install it.
