Word for Mr. Lamplight - if they came in to my house and searched it over and didn't tell me for three years and I didn't know, who gives a crap. But for me, I don't sit around and worry about that since I don't consider it even remotely possible. I may not be perfect, but I am sure my actions do not draw much attention on the federal level.

As for the previous answer, the question should be what civil liberties have american citizens lost due to the patriot act. I still own my guns and am not sitting around waiting for them to come get them. If you're muslim and your leader isn't teaching people to go out and kill, you are still 100% welcome to worship in america.

Most of the other arguments are based on spoiled americans who want to complain about what goes on in the world and sit back and smoke dope or what ever they are doing that they are so worried about people finding out. Don't think you are so important. The fed's are pretty busy looking into real suspects with ties to terrorists.

Oh, so to answer your question, none.

something with regard to the tone of your "question" makes me think of you at the instant are not probable attracted to pondering all your solutions. properly finished, obedient citizen. you're properly on your way. not in basic terms are they whittling away your rights, yet they're getting you to "desire and PRAY" they do. And all through fact of what those evil terrorists* did. *word: despite if 9/11 substitute into an act of the U. S. government, finished to get everybody to assist the conflict on the middle East; to settle for/advise warrantless wiretapping, torture, and the proscribing of varied different civil liberties and human rights; and in any different case fall consistent with the NWO, it incredibly is nonetheless maximum appropriate to call the perpetrators "terrorists". the term would not inevitably refer in basic terms to an ingredient exterior our very own government.

The amusing thing is that the people who yell the loudest about the patriot act taking our freedoms do not appear to have ever read it.

Chilling of Freedom of Religion (Muslim), Freedom of Speech (anti-American) due to phone surveillance, Freedom of the Press - with the weakening of the testimony privilege previously given to journalists, Freedom to peaceably assemble, Freedom to petition the government to address grievances (habeus corpus denied to Gitmo residents and others), Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Right to be secure in persons, houses and papers (surveillance), and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures (now requiring no warrants), no right to a grand jury for capital or infamous crimes (see the president's special military tribunals) because we are not in a state of declared war, deprivation of life, liberty and property, denied right to speedy and public trial, to be informed of the crime charged, to have the assistance of counsel, right to a jury trial, right to be free from cruel and inhuman punishment, and I'm sure I'm missing some.

The U.S. government can enter your home, search it and sieze anything they want based on what seems "reasonable" to them. You don't have to be there and they don't need your permission to do this. They don't even have to tell you that they've done it for a period after it's happened. And that period can be whatever they deem "reasonable", whether that's a week, a month or five years.

The prerequisites to doing this are as vague and as pliable as the government decides they need to be. Bottom line, if they want to come into your home and seize your property, and not tell you about it for years... they can, and will.

Try that in Canada.

I haven't lost a one. Of course, I'm not trafficking in large sums of money or asking about explosives.
