There have been many great women throughout history. Rulers, inventors, scientists, authors, civil rights activists. I will try to give you a few examples:

In November of 1999 Randice-Lisa "Randi" Altschul was issued a series of patents for the world's first disposable cell phone. Trademarked the Phone-Card-Phone®, the device is the thickness of three credit cards and made from recycled paper products. This is a real cell phone (outgoing messages only) with 60 minutes of calling time and a hands free attachment. You can add more minutes or throw the device away after your calling time is used up. However, with the planned additional magnetic strip the cell phone would double as a credit card, swipeable for purchases with free airtime credits as a bonus. The retail price of the invention should average twenty dollars, with a two or three dollar rebate for returning the phone instead of trashing it. (Source: About: Inventors. This is just a short bit of the actual piece.)

Eleanor Roosevelt- She did so much for America by helping forward equal rights and influence people in politics.

Joan of Arc- Won an entire war.

Marie Curie- One of the first influential women scientists. Breakthroughs with radioactivity.

Catherine de Medici- All of her sons ruled France one after another, but she really controlled all three reigns from behind the scenes. Really interesting woman.

Flip through the index of a history book for the part of the world you're interested in (Europe, Aisa, etc.), there are hundreds of really influential women you can find.

Susan B. Anthony

Because they are achievers and do-ers. And there is a lot of information out there to research. I would never do one on an actress or singer.

Belle Starr, and American Icon, fiercely independent and knew how to take care of herself in the Old West. Or Susan B Anthony, a little less exciting than Belle but made strides for women.

I would suggest Florence Nightingale, her calling led her to Turkey to tend British soldiers wounded in war at the age of sixteen. You did not categorize but a very interesting woman.

I think you should write about Madam CJ Walker. You should write about her because she erased that line that said that women couldn't own their own business and succeed in life.

P.S. She was also the first women to earn a million dollars.
(Yes, even before Oprah) LOL
