so many people like horribal bands like the all american rejects and panic at the disco, i mean aar's lyrics seem to be written by a 3 year old and panic has so many stupid girl fans that like them for one song and obsess about them and they remind me of the circus. when will people learn that the good music is the older bands (like sum 41......but that's just my opinion)

FINALLY! Somebody agrees with me! I hate bands like that with a passion! I want bands with kick-*** guitar solos and driving drumbeats not bands that can't write decent lyrics.
I mean doesn't anybody have any respect for bands like The Who, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty or Queen? These are real bands.

Oh you are so rude dude. But i do respect your opinion also. I really do. As you know music is just a language for any musician to contact with other people, and then the people give their contact as a feedback to the musician through like what you said as so many stupid girl fans. And for these "so many stupid girls" that the way they can do to give the loving and respect to the music they ever listen, and they enjoy it and have a happiness doing that. So let them enjoy it.
So then if you said the the good music is the older bands, that's also ok and it's not wrong at all. Every music is good, no music is bad. No music !!!!! We have to realize that all musician is just a human being also and every album that they release to this world is the best work that they can do and they also enjoy do it and have some happiness to do it also.
So let me know the good music you love beside Sum 41 ???

It's the radio stations, record companies and MTV's fault. They purposely only want to expose the new "in" thing and cash in on it. They force garbage without any substance down the throats of sheep that buy this crap. The way to find real music is to ignore what MTV tells you is cool and find out on your own what good music is. I know a ton of GREAT underground bands here in Los Angeles that will never get a fair chance just because they don't fit the requirements of what the record labels think is "cool" either because they don't dress trashy or because they're not teeny boppers. The state of the music industry today is the most pathetic it's ever been.

Until musical taste is mandated and homogenized, that taste is opinion. One person's nails scraping against a chalk board is another's Bach.
I do not like ANY of the bands that you have listed, including your fav (which would still be a "newer" band as they are barely 5 or 6 years old as a main stream group and have yet to attain the noteriety of even older bands from generations before them like Tool, Led Zepplin, The Four Tops, etc.), but that does not make them any less valid to you.
As long as the music connects with people, whether you like those people or not, it is good music to someone. Just don't buy their albums if you don't like them...

And your exactly right, it's your opinion. Think of it this way, if all music were the same wouldn't it be rather boring? We all have different styles and musicians that we like just like some people eat food that others think is disgusting. Variety, something for everyone. No matter how weird, sad, adolescent or whatever.

You started off sounding so good, and then you ruined it by saying that sum 41 was good. And old.
Not to mention, Sum 41 was popular five years ago, and they formed in '96: that's not old. Not to mention, old does not always equate to good.
Try the Clash, or something.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinions regarding music. Why should it bother you if somebody else listens to a band you dislike? At least Panic! and the Rejects actually play instruments and sing.

exactly what warrior said. they're not stupid; they just have different tastes in music. and i guess youre calling me stupid cause i love aar. i like all their songs, like swing swing, and one more sad song. i dont like a band just cause of one song. jeez. i like ACDC and a lot of other bands too.
