Pedialyte isn't like a medicine. It is most similar to Gatorade. Just without so much sugar and salt. Give her what she will drink. If you are giving her bottles with water in them, just replace the water with pedialyte. It won't hurt. Most usually Pedialyte is given for children with vomiting and diahhrea though.

My pediatritian says to give Gerber Lyquilites as it tastes better than pedialyte. Also- make sure you are using the plain...no flavors. When my son was 5 months I gave him about 2-3 oz at a time. If you are substituting a feeding I would do 4. Are you sure she is just not fussing because she is teething?

hi, I would keep offering your daughter her normal milk and water or juice if she would like that better at the moment.Pedalyte is really only necessary if you can't get any fluid into her and also if she has diarreah or vomiting,to replace this lost fluid.if she is jsug "coming down "with soemthing,I wouldn't worry too much. If sheis still having a drink and a nibble here and there, she will be ok. As I said unless she is vomiting, can't tolerate any fluids etc, don't worry about the pedalyte, thugh itis normal to wrry about your baby when they seem a bit off color.Good luck wither her,I'm sure she'llb e fine, jsut fussy and miserable for a few days.

if she is drink her normal amount of fluids, i wouldnt give her the pedialyte. just watch her to make sure she is still having her normal amout of wet diapers and also watch the soft spot on the top of her head, if she is dehydrated it will be sunken in.

Get the measuring cup that comes with the bottle and put just enough to cover the entire bottom of it... That is enough for a newborn.

She might not drink it. It doesn't taste very good. She only needs it if she is dehydrated.

I don't know how much but thought you might need to know it tastes bad, my daughter wouldn't drink it.
