Like is it legal to leave a 16 year old home alone for a week while you go on vacation somewhere? I looked it up, but I couldn't find anything. Anyways so yeah. Washington State is that legal?
Thanks guys.

As far as I know there are no laws preventing this. Parents could be charged with negligence or endangement if the child is too young, but at 16 kids are pretty self-sufficient.

A week is a long time, though. Perhaps the teen could stay at a friends house, or a friend or family member could check in with them daily to make sure everything is okey dokey.

It might be legal,I don't know the laws of your state, but in my opinion, irresponsible.Too much can happen to your child in a week.

I dont know about that....with any minor. Think about it. For instance if he/she gets hurt he cant get medical attention without parental consent. If it were just something like overnight then yeah, but a whole week? Alot can happen in a week. Dont do it.
