The book clubs that I have joined held discussions at a coffee shop or bookstore. The managers of these businesses allowed us to post a sign stating what book we were reading and the date for discussion. At one club, our first meeting entailed planning the books we were going to read. The rule was that you had to have read a book before recommending it and then you would lead the discussion on this book. You might try asking your local library for help or go online to Barnes and Noble.com; they have alot of discussion resources listed on their site. Be patient, sometimes it takes a while for these clubs to catch on...just remember to have fun!
