How can I get my PS2 to stop asking for parental control password and just play DVDs without hesistation?

put in a movie, hit select, then get go to "setup" with the d-pad. go to "custom setup" then switch the level to "off" on parental control

Good luck! I don't know that you can... we've tried! we just leave our password on 0000 though, so it's no big deal
