Why wont my media player show the right folders for my ipod nano?

go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and select to download iTunes (its free). Once you get it downloaded, install it and then search for songs on your computer. you can use iTunes to automatically update your iPod.

you're not supposed to use any other player than iTunes.
