I was wanting a type of rodent that likes attention, that is playful, and loving. If they happen to breed i wouldn't want something that would have a million babies a month and it would be hard to find the babies home. I mean if they don't have that many babies per litter than i'll keep them. So, i don't want anything that is too prolific when it comes to mating. I was thinking either chinchillas, guinea pigs, or kinkajous. Which one would be best?? Like i said, i dont want to get something that whenever they do have babies that they aren't that hard to find them homes. But i do have the time, space, and money for either of them.

I think guinea pig would be a good pet.I used to own one, and I have friends who own them. They do not have many litters and are very cuddly if I say so my self, they are very good companions if you take care of them properly.you should clean out their cage often and pet them so they will not get mean

well generally, chinchillas and Kinkajous are rather expensive, being considered "exotic" pets. Guinea pigs DO mate frequently and have 1-4 babies. I once had a friend who "traced their family tree". It was rather extensive. I suggest waiting until the pet is older, then picking two males, or two females, of ANY kind, then you won't have any problem with mating, unless of course one or both of the females you get are pregnant from the store ^_^ that's been known to happen!!!

out of the 3 animals you have listed, i would personally go with a chinchilla. (if you are willing to cough up the cash). Chinchillas, brought up correctly, can quickly bond with their owner and they are active and playful. however, they are mainly nocturnal animals so they would probably sleep quite often during the day and they require emaculate feedings and their cages need to be roomy. whatever feels right to you would probably be the best choice in the long run.

I would go with guinea pigs, just make sure to get 2 of the same sex (female if you want to house them together) and then you don't have to worry bout the babies!!

I would go with Guinea Pigs (cavies) they are great pets. but do have specific diet requirements. like lots of vitamin c.

Oh and rabbits are NOT rodents, they are lagamorphs.

I would get rats, they are the best pets. Breeders in my area have waiting lists for them.

If you're adopting, you won't have to worry about getting a pair that will breed.
