When I read objectivism or talk with objectivists, I find no holes whatsoever in the philosophy. But, I have yet to find a well-versed objectivist that isn't arrogant and shaming towards any view that isn't completely objectivist, online or in person. It's like conversing with a fundamentalist Christian, except that the objectivist uses flawless logic. Has this been anyone else's experience? Do I need to chat with more objectivists to sample a larger group of them?

I think objectivism is inherently arrogant. or egotistical. Arn't they all about every man for himself? they think everyone has an equal chance to succeed in life and the only point to life is to succeed. right?
that's what I understand from them.
if that's what they believe than they HAVE to be pretty arrogant and egotistical. and I don't mean that in a negative way.
I don't think theres anything wrong with fundamentalist either. I've been called a fundamentalist before. these people know what they believe and they follow it with their entire being. they don't let anything stand in the way of what they believe to be true. what's wrong with that?
if you're sure that your baby girl is about to get burned alive in a burning building, would you sit back and say, "well, let's consider all sides of this equally to be fair...perhaps the fire isn't real...."
no. you do what you gotta do in the face of what you believe to be true. theres nothing wrong with that.
they just ruffle others feathers, that's all.
