yep he did, but i don't thing again it was racial, it was when shilpa was upset at the way the girle were treating her, and I think he was referring to intelligence and class as opposed to colour! probably not the right words but that's what he was referring too, and to be honest they didn' give british girls a very good impression did they, and 1, 2, and 3rd places went to two americans and an Indian lady, so the proof is there, leo stormed/broke out, that other older man walked out, Ian was OK and so was Cleo, it was the three girls that let us down completely! maybe his comment had a little truth in it! they behaved very badly in the face of a supposed game.

Actually Jermaines exact words were "if this family (the goodys) lived in America they could go on a show called The Jerry Springer show, lots of people go on there, mainly the people that go on this show are white trash and they give the show more viewers when they cause trouble"......so he wasn't calling the Goodys white trash but that sort of person that likes to be in the limelight for the wrong reasons

Hello All... I am an American and I can answer about the "white trash" comment. I happen to live in the South where that phrase is quite common. It has more to do with class, as in economics, than it has to do with racism. It is usually associated with living in a trailer park, dirty clothes with holes in them, walking around bare-footed or dropping out of High School at 15. Think of the TV show Earl or the movie Deliverance. Hope I helped.

The "White Trash" comment was made by Leo Sayer and NOT Jermaine. Jermaine repeated what Leo had said, but clearly felt uncomfortable as he did not even say the word "trash".

"White Trash" is not a racist phrase, it is an American phrase referring to a generation. Saying "White Trash" is as offensive as saying "Chav".

I'm not saying I personally agree with this, but it's one explanation!

Yes he did. What he should have said is that Jackiey was "trash" (which she is). Colour had nothing to do with it. The term is usually targeted towards people of a low social status and poor prospects. To call someone "white trash" is to accuse that person of being economically or culturally bankrupt.
Attitudes toward the phrase have softened to the degree that some people describe themselves as "white trash", and there is a genre of rock music known as "white-trash rock", but the phrase is still never found in polite contexts. "White trash" is usually associated with poverty and lack of education can also play a role. Remember Jerry Springer?

He said it when he was talking about the Jerry Springer show, but when Big Bro showed it again they edited out the Jerry Springer bit so it looked like he was talking about the Goodies - that's why it hasn't been mentioned, because they wouldn't have a leg to stand on because they know they edited it.

Whilst calming Shilper, he suggested that you cant compete class with no class, in America they would be known as WHITE TRASH.

Now I am not sure if I have got that completely word for word correct, but he did not actually call them white trash, but he INFERRED they were. And although I am also white, to be honest, I almost agree with him. Not the sort of behaviour I would be proud of by my children.

it really is not ok and doubtless you ought to write to the educate and convey your frustration. in spite of this, please do not anticipate that Jermaine Jackson (of anybody) is a representative of the Black inhabitants. he's not and not in any respect grow to be. resembling Imus isn't a representative of you or the White race. solid day.
