Streaming videos is not really the best option available. Certain ISP providers don't work too well when you try streaming videos, especially long videos. A short 5-minute clip is alright, but you still would be looking at lag factor if you are using DSL.
Cable would be a step up from DSL and works fine, but a much faster connection would be much preferred.
As for free movies, with services like NETFLIX and BLOCKBUSTER available, you're better off just renting the movie. No hassles to download and burn on discs. No need for archiving. You watch a movie and you return it. No late fees whatsoever.
At $17.99 a month, you can rent out 3 dvds at a time with UNLIMITED rentals. Depending on how close you live by their facilities, like NETFLIX comes as fast as one business day.
Stop wasting time thinking of ways to get freebies. Spend the money and you'll reap more benefits.
Let's say you download a video and the quality is horrible. You have just wasted your time downloading it. Don't even bother!
Life is short. Spend some more time with your loved ones or something. They'll appreciate you more when they know that you really care. There are plenty of other awesome hobbies out there for you to do. Pick up a new hobby. Read a book. Write a book. And stop thinking about "free" movies just because your friends are doing it. It's meaningless! Tangible goods won't do you any good.
Let's say your house burns down. Your computer is gone. The files on your computer--GONE! Movies that you downloaded? ALSO, GONE!
Stop wasting your life. Devote your life to bigger and better things. You'll thank me someday. For now, I can be the idiot that just answered your question.
