This happened to my daughter at the same age. She was sleeping soundly all night, but suddenly stopped. My grandmother suggested she might be ready for some cereal... I read in my baby book that when they reach 12-14 pounds, they'll start not sleeping as soundly or nursing/feeding more.. because what they're getting isn't enough to sustain that weight and keep growing. So... the next night I opened up the hole of the nipple on her bottle... added 1/2 teaspoon of infant oat cereal to her formula... and she was back to sleeping through the night. Immediately.

Get the book ON BECOMING BABYWISE. It will tell you how to get your baby on a schedule and sleeping through the night sooner. My daughter has slept through the night (and I'm talking 8-12 hours) since she was 8 weeks old, and I owe it all to Babywise! It focuses on an eat, play, sleep schedule, and on getting your child accustomed to falling asleep on their own without rocking or feeding them to sleep. If they are able to fall asleep on their own, they will sleep better and longer.
There are times when your baby will wake during the night. Mine woke when she was teething, or when we were on vacation and not on schedule due to time zones. But overall we have had great success with using the techniques we learned from the book. It will only take a baby a few days to adjust to what this book teaches so don't worry that you are starting too late. Get the book! It is a life-saver!

Give him some time, all babies are different. look most babies do not start sleeping though till 8 months. Most babies sleep for atlest for 4 hours at a time. Try these things to help him sleep.
1/ Sing to him
2/ Put on music that he knows ( music that you played when he was in you tummy)
3/ if wake up pat him to sleep again.
4/ Take he for a walk in the pram.
Hope this helps

It's more normal for him not to sleep thru the night. You just got very lucky! My son didn't sleep all night till 12 months and I took away his bottle. I know it's hard the first year. You hardly get any sleep. I was so glad when my son got off the bottle and started eating solid food, it was like heaven to sleep all night.

if you have him on a eating/napping schedule, usually around 9 weeks. mine slept 9 hours at 9 weeks, but is now waking up after 5 hours. try feeding, he might be going through a growth spurt. or, if he won't eat, just rock him back to sleep. i know it's frusterating -- hang in there!

How old is he?
He could be cutting teeth, or going though a growth spurt, and need an extra bottle.
