Go to tools
Toolbars
Click the favourites toolbar option
OR
This is the long way but should show all the favourites...
(assuming no other method works)
↓ My Computer
↓ Hard Drive C
↓ Documnets and Settings
↓ Go to your domian folder/admin (if you are the admin)
↓ There should be a folder labeld favourites
↓ All the sites should be present and you can resave them as favourites in the new broswer
(If you can't find them look in all the folders)

When we did that, we found the favorites by clicking on a yellow star directly under where the File tab is. Beside that star, is one with a plus sign in front of it. Don't click that one. When your favotites come out, you will see an arrow at the top right corner of the favorites bar. Click that to move the bar over so it's not so wide. To get your favorites to hide, click on the biggest yellow star again.

On the Internet, there is a star in the left corner, click on it, there are your favorites!

find the little yellow star on the upper left hand corner, click it; they crammed all the favorite bookmarks there.
IE7 stinks.

Yeah I have that same problem, Try to uninstall it and it will go back to the old version and see how that works.
