I was crossing the road, I saw the car coming, but they were going too slow to be of any danger, but I still jogged over the road, but the car sped up and barely hit me on my ankle, sending me spinning around and landing on one knee on the floor, I got up and felt fine but with a mild limp.

When I got home I cleaned the wounds on my knee & back of my ankle and noticed that my ankle had started to swell. so I applied ice (wrapped in a cloth) to the area for an hour, and had a warm bath.

Now ankle is starting to hurt, and my limp has gotten worse.

How long can I expect before the pain is mostly gone, and I can walk freely without much of a limp again?

probably a sprained ankle but go to emergency clinic for x-rays anyway to be sure.

You sound like you are doing fine. Use your ankle gently until it feels better, elevate it to relieve the swelling. Wrap it with a bandage , not too tight, if you feel you need to.
(You should have gotten the driver's info just in case you need a doctor, but never mind, you probably won't.)
Here is a procedure that will speed up the healing. Soak your foot and ankle in hot water for 5 minutes, then immediately plunge it into cold water for one minute. Even once helps a lot, but for greatest benefit do this 3 times in a row, twice a day.

i'm sorry which you had this accident. To me, it sounds as once you're suffering ask your self. I even have had 2 studies of ask your self in my existence. For the 1st, I had little help, in part because of the fact i did no longer understand a thank you to seek for it. For the 2d, I had loads of help yet interestingly i grew to become into able to regulate nicely by using myself. This 2d experience grew to become into an tried mugging wherein I fought lower back and won, with the attacker being arrested. I made a factor of going lower back to the area the place it happened and asserting to myself that i could been there many cases till now and could bypass there lower back. Any concern only dissolved. in spite of the undeniable fact that a motor vehicle accident is quite diverse to a mugging, i think of which you will rigidity down the line 2 or thrice in stable situations and tell your self which you have have been given pushed there till now and could lower back and that the black ice, like a mugger, grew to become right into a one-off experience. genuinely, the black ice is greater possibly to recur, so only be sure you save a clean reminiscence of the place it grew to become into and understand the place to be careful in destiny on chilly days. As for the ask your self, if I have been you, i could communicate on your GP. you will get 3 loose counselling classes on the NHS in line with situation, so i could ask approximately this. A counsellor can help you in the direction of the ask your self.

go to the hospital. did u get any info of the car? you might want to call the cops so the driver can pay for your medicla bills. you should have called 911 n just went to be sure you were ok so there would be no doubt thats where these injuries came from.

if it is swollen that is not a good sign. wait until the morning and go get it checked out at your local doctor, or just go to the E.R. because thats where he/she will probably end up sending you.

keep ice on and off every 20 minutes
don't keep it wrapped up too tight
elevate it..propped up on a pillow, preferably above your heart
