You need to do the research on other banks and find out if they offer the services/products you are not happy with at BOA. If it is just a customer service issue, then I think you will run into that anywhere. I use wells fargo, and I'm going to switch to BOA because they offer better services than wells fargo, like free online bill pay, and the save the change program.

I would agree that a Credit Union is going to be your best bet.
Credit unions started out as small groups of people who pooled their money into a fund to allow others to borrow from the fund and then pay it back. There are no other stakeholders who are trying to make a profit, they are truly looking out for their members.
The link below will lead you to a Credit Union in your area, you will have to have some kind of association with the group of people to join, but chances are you'll have not problem finding one that fits you.

Try a local credit union, they offer lower interest rates on loans, free checking(if you hold a minimum balance, usually under a $100), and I beleive are generally more user friendly.

Your best bet would be a credit union. Typically, if you have a minimum deposit of $25, you can get free checking.
