what is the difference between a flash mp3 and a hardrive mp3?

i'm gettong a new mp3 tomorrow and i wanted to know what was the difference between the two.

Flash mp3 players use solid state memory - flash memory for storage. There are no moving parts. Memory size is limited to about 2 - 4 gb

Hard drive mp3 players use a very tiny hard drive to store songs. Usual storage for hard drives are 20 -30 gb

a flash is mobile the other is hardwired.
