You could do a recent issue that is affecting the world. For example global warming. you could say what causes it, what the problem is and how to fix it.

Our teens here in SA are having and giving lots of problems with Mxit, I do not know if you are aware of what that is (search engine MXIT)- This is really a good topic as my daughter did a research paper and debate on this and it caused a frenzy (School work suffering because of the mxit addiction, etc....) Good luck

whenever i dont know what to write about...i end up writing about abortion....its very easy to find info on...and it lets your teacher know you have an opinon.
