Timesplitters is co-operative, versus and single player. All on the one screen. It's one of my favourite games and was half the reason I purchased a ps2 in the first place.
There is Timesplitters, Timesplitters 2 and 3. So there's a variation, with 3 being the best of the lot.

I don't play shooters, but some people say Time Crisis is good or something. And I'm not sure but I think FFVII: Dirge of Cerberous is a shooter game too. you're so violent! XD PS2 rocks

SOCOM 3 IS YOUR BEST CHOISE THE THING IS THAT IS SINGLE PLAYER... BUT YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE OR WITH THRU YOUR NETWORK... SO 2 PEOPLE CAN PLAY IN DIFFERENT SCREENS....
