people love drama....look how much money the tabloids make off of celebrity affairs. I think most people think of cheating, maybe half actually do. The most judgemental are those who have either been cheated on, or are afraid their spouse might be cheating on them......so by association, all cheaters are bad, bad, bad

I do notice the harsh judgment is handed by the ones that thrive on those questions and give the image of being an jilted, over weight, man hating cuz they got dumped or cheated on, female with no chance of ever finding a good man. AKA The crazy cat lady! I've had a pretty interesting life. When I answer these questions, even to someone who has engaged in wrong doing, I try to give something constructive back. Unless it's the crazy cat ladies. In their case...let them be swallowed by their own misery. I've discovered that most people here are decent human beings. True some should be asking MORE than answering. LOL

I believe that people sometimes have to shoot others down to make them feel better about their crappy lives. Who is anyone to judge? We don't live each others lives, and 9 times out of 10 there is a reason for cheating, loneliness, heartbreak, or just looking for a way out. I have never cheated on my husband but I would be a liar to say that it has never crossed my mind, and I can relate to why these things may happen. You are 100% correct though, that the bad always gets the most responses. If I was to say that I have a wonderful marriage, I might get a couple sarcastic remarks. But than we also have to remember that when we put our questions out there, you have to expect the Holier than Thous to put their 2 cents in. There are understanding people out there....but sometimes they seem far and few. Just the way the world works, I guess!

Everyone is judgmental about cheating until they are put in that situation. When I got married, I told myself that I would never cheat on my husband. I thought people who cheated were slim-balls. Well, my husband and I went through a really tough time and I fell head over heels in love with another man. So know I am not judgmental on any ones problems because you never know when you will get into that situation. It is easy to be judgmental until you are faced in any situation. Most people who have never cheated think that they are better then everyone else, well at least I did until I got into that situation.

And a train wreck always draws more attention than just a train riding along the tracks without incident.
Newspapers mainly report and stress bad things, the good ones are usually stuck in the back of the paper somewhere.
We are who we are, and sadly, we like that kind of thing (look how popularity of The Jerry Springer Show.)

Truth is, if someone has cheated they have hurt more than one person. Karma is a nasty thing, the cheater is going to receive thier dues some how whether here or elsewhere.

I don't think people should judge others they have never met. But I agree the ones that are harsh, have been cheated on
