There is a film being made in Imperial Beach California called John from Cinncinati; as the producers, crew, and directors scurry around filming this hbo series; the executive producer by the name of David Milch, notices a family. This family is nothing special except that they have an 8 year old son in a wheelchair. As busy as this man is, he finds every opportunity to stop and say hello to this family and even gives them money out of nowhere. Mind you this man co-produced NYPD blues and Deadwood plus many more (he's all over the web). I just find it awesome that such an important man can take the time to look upon a less than noticed family and brighten their lives with his generosity. There should be more people like David Milch in this world. I do plan to give this series a chance (don't know if it will be good or not) but the executive producer deserves it. This does sound corny, but bad things are always on the news; why not make room for someone doing a good thing.

I agree with you...it was a nice gesture. But if I may, I'd like to share a perspective with you on the way you look at it.

You marvel that such an important man - no matter how busy he is - takes the time to brighten the lives of this family, and even give them money. May I ask, what makes you think that man is so important? In relation to what and whom? Being a producer on a movie or tv program doesn't make him important - it is his job. Like yours or mine. His is different, it pays more, and more people are aware of it. He is famous. Please don't let that make you think he's important because of it.

We need to stop looking at people as what they are. We should all help the less fortunate when we have the opportunity. And the means. Because one day, that less fortunate person could be you. Or me. And I would hope that someone who has the ability will help me out a little. America would truly be the Greatest Nation in the World if everyone helped everyone else out a little. Instead of moaning about welfare recipients and homelessness.

Okay...rant over. I didn't mean to slag you at all...I just wanted you to see a different perspective.

Haha I trust the 'Cali' comments. no person that's from California particularly calls it Cali. besides, San Diego might actual be a clean start up for you. that is not any longer warm all 3 hundred and sixty 5 days around. basically attempt to think of of your appropriate, heat spring day....that is like that contained in direction of the tip of fall, wintry climate and spring. Then it starts to get warm. that is alluring climate. San Diego isn't what you may call a 'particularly enormous city.' It does have a huge inhabitants, although that is opened up everywhere in the county. Downtown SD is particularly distinctive from downtown Chicago. It does not have the 'existence' downtown Chicago has. yet particularly, there is a lot greater to do in San Diego that may no longer universal downtown that that is particularly no longer that massive of a deal. you will want a automobile although. the certainty that that is not any longer all concentrated makes it confusing to relish it with out appropriate transportation. that is surprisingly high priced, yet from what I hear, Chicago is greater high priced than San Diego so that is probable no longer that massive of a deal for you. everybody is often particularly friendly and the colleges are particularly large too. no you will help you be attentive to what to do, yet i will say this: i develop into born and raised in San Diego, I moved to the Midwest approximately six months in the past and that i'm basically death to get decrease back. Granted, Indiana isn't Chicago, yet there particularly is not any the place like California. good success with each little thing!!

A sweet story it is, but do you not realize that there are literally millions of people doing the same as he or far more every day? What difference does it make what he does for a living? He's a producer...big deal, it doesn't make him an important person.
I drove past a homeless man who had a dog with him this past Friday. I hadn't seen my wife and daughter for over a week, so I drove on home, kissed them both and then told them what I was going to do and that I'd be back shortly. I drove down the street back toward the homeless man, bought dinner and filled a bag with dogfood. I took it to the fellow with the dog and he said, "God bless you." Does that make me a great person? Nope. It just makes me "a guy doing what is right." It doesn't matter what a person's job or financial status is. It's only their acts that matter.
