They've got a CHANCE, it's just a matter of how much. I definitely think they've got the potential to do well in the tournament...They have got great players. They just need to get their performance together and work as a team.
As for key players...You might consider (from the current roster) John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, and Paul Robinson as some important players for the team.
I'm sure even without these players England might still be able to do well, because there are lots of other very talented English players, but these are just some guys who bring good leadership into the team and who play a significant role.

Slim to none. McLaren and a couple of youngsters (lennon and walcott) will boost confidence coming in, only to shatter the hopes of three lions fans a few days into the tournament. The same old story for that bunch.

Sure they do. They have a solid team.
It will be the usual suspects up front, Italy, France, Portugal, Netherlands etc. England could pull it off though.

umm..yes..but...there r other teams...and without a big leader like beckham...it will be different...look for a different kind of attack from england...but they still have a big chance of winning

Every team has chance to win it, but I doubt that England can win anything (sorry), they just don't have the heart of the champions( current team )!!!!!
