You can never be sure of the existence of others. You cannot even be sure of your own existence, since you can't even be sure that you think. When Freud proved that much of what we do and think is unconscious and originates in our childhood experience, and our surroundings, when Jung showed that much of our responses are automatic responces we have inherited from our fathers in the form of a collective unconscious, when post modernism, shows how little consciousness we have in our actions, thoughts, and what we take to be true, how are you going to be so sure what you think, is actually your's and not something you have picked from other sources, let alone take it as a proof of your existence? Take something you believe in for example, and analyze it. see how much of it is the result of your own mental activity, and how much you have picked from outside. take one of your actions. The very few conscious actions we commit everyday, are in fact automatic reflexes we have learned after birth from the society. In post modern world, you are reduced to a blob of unconsciousness.
In spite of all this, you can be sure of one thing. other blobs exist. you do not get your existence and identity from yourself. If all people on earth were women, then being a "Woman", where there are no "Men" would not mean anything. if everything was red, then not only red, but the notion of colour itself would be meaninless. likewise, when you identify yourself as "I", you are doing so because you are already comparing yourself to other beings simmilar to you. otherwise you would not know such a thing as "I" let alone try to question and understand it.
It's difficult question, libraries have been written on the subject. I did not answer you. My answer serves only and only to show you how deep the question goes.

You can't prove that im a thinking rational mind, but you betcha i am, which means you are not the only one. Just by humans acting alike and being active in the world shows to you that they too are rational people that exist. They are thinking minds because they things that you do no differently.

I think you are thinking too much.
there is ONE thing that we all know to be a fact other than paying taxes... DEATH. ( its a fact, its real and it happens to all eventually) Fortunately for all of us you cant get to that point without being alive first. so there you go. We must all exsist because we all have an ending. If youve never been to a funeral or seen someone pass away before you you are fortunate!
so stop reading the works of spenoza he sucked anyway and take time to smell the flowers that are alive outside too:)
enjoy your lives more study less is what i say!

I look at it this way. What difference does it make? Seriously. If you treat everyone as if they are an independent mind, things seem to go smoothly, if you treat them as if they are a figment of your imagination, they don't go so smoothly. So if it's impossible to prove, just drop it, and move on.
Just like the old story. A prince is shot by an arrow. As the healer comes to him he says "Wait, before you heal me, find out who shot me, where they live, who their family is, why they shot me...!" The healer interrupted him "Of course we can try to do that, but you will be dead before we find all the answers if we even can, how about if we patch YOU up first".

You may prove anything essentially. But while you prove existence of yourself for yourself meaning of "others" will disappear, and you'll know that others is You in different forms and you'll threat your "selves" accordingly..You do not want pain you inflict for ,literally, yourself.... Unfortunately we do not experience "ourselves", but experiencing in contrary"themselves", leaving ourselves neglected...That mess following human for centuries. We do not know ourselves, but "know" others....Isn't it?

If you accept the world as real, then by analogy you can extend your awareness to other people.

You can't.
That was the whole point of Descartes statement...'I think therefore I am.' For that was all he could prove.
