38 miles --- 30 minutes? through Brooklyn, Queens? I driven the Van Wyck Expressway at 65 mpg, but that was at 3 am. If you go during the day, plan on a longer time. And if you go during the rush hours, you will think everyone who lives on Long Island works in Manhattan, and everyone who works on Long Island, lives in Connecticut.
