i saw the debute of it and it was great. they are tlaking about a electric steel cage match tonight on the debute. are u kiddin me. that will be great. ecw cant compare to that now can they.

I do believe that WSX will be the next ECW, in that they aren't gonna be taken seriously, but will deliver matches that could make even the new watered down Joey Styles scream, "OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!"

The first big test is tonight with the official premiere. The preview shows barely cracked a ratings point.
It'll be a long ways before it can touch SD. SD is WWE, well established, and a 2 hour format. It pulls 2s and 3s in the ratings, so WSX will have to be around for longer than 1 season and build a following.
Now ECW on the other hand... ECW ratings are getting worse (1-1.5s), many of the fans have given up on it, and now there are more rumors from backstage that Vince isn't happy with the workers and product. ECW might not even last out til the end of it's contract in Dec. ECW is going to be history sometime in the near future, so if WSX can hang on, I think it can pull some ECW fans that want a more high flying, hardcore wrestling style that you don't get from WWE.
I watched WSX and outside of the over the top ring announcer and commentators, I liked the wrestling action itself. I think as long as they get the word out and fans give it a chance, it can carve it's own niche in wrestling shows.

YEah I watched the Rumble part I was impressed that what we should expect form ECW but we get the new watered down version that Vince MCmahon made with no extreme matches

yea ecw.. but for the older more marture viewers they wanna see classic wrestling more like wwe raw and smackdown but ecw cant compare

It is awful. It is too fake. There is no psychology in the matches. The matches are just spots. WWE has better hardcore matches. I think the show will be a flop. The first rating it got is 0.4

it will definately kill ecw but how in the world with a 30 minute show are they gonna kill smackdown im gonna see the premier tonight

I liked it, but I think it's too outlandish to compete with WWE. I think the "debut" is just the episode they've already shown three times.

No way. With their short term contracts, McMahon will buy all their remotely top talent and Wrestling society will fizzle up and burn like WCW Saturday Night.
