I recorded the tune on my phone but it is a poor recording, though if you know it you would probably be able to recognise it.

I have a clip of it here: http://www.lacc.org.uk/unknowntune.mp3

Shazam it - call 2580 next time you hear it & it should tag it and tell you who sings it and what it's called. It's a great service for cheating at music quizzes too!!
Where did you hear it first? Try asking around if you heard it in a shop or summat...

I really get the feeling it is from a Bond movie like a View to a Kill or one of the other movies.......hmmm...I'll keep checking the Web and get back to you if I can track it down...but I think the other suggestion someone made of you humming it would be a better idea. Also you could take your sound bite to a record shop and ask the experts there...not someone like HMV but one of the little record collecting shops where they may have better knowledge. Your tune is now driving ME mad!!! LOL..well done!!!
