Do you think that Lemieux and Co. are just trying to get a sweeter deal with Pittsburgh or will they actually make the leap to KC or another city (I'm using KC because they have offered the Penguins a hell of a deal)?

The Hell with KC. They can't support an NHL team. Just because they have a new arena doesn't mean they'll support the team. I've been a Pittsburgh fan since they were the Hornets in the AHL & there has ALWAYS been a huge base of fan support here in the "Burgh. The only thing that has hurt the team is the price of tickets. The average fan can't afford to go by himself, let alone take the family anymore, but I guess they'd rather have the rich yuppies that don't know the difference between the blue line & the bottom line than the fans that built the support base over the years.

Very Realistic so Realistic that they offer the Pens to play Rent Free, they trying to get a Sweeter Deal but Pittsburgh is giving Lemieux and Co, a lot of Backtalk, Houston is just an Outside Chance, Winnipeg, Portland OR, Las Vegas out of the Picture, My Ultimate Prediction is the Pens move to Kansas City.

I think that there is a good possibility that they could move to KC if only for the facts that the NHL has afforded them the right to look elsewhere and that KC has put a great deal on the table and Pittsburgh still seems to flounder. I am from the KC area and really want to see NHL hockey at the Sprint Center, but I don't think I want the Pens here. I would rather see an expansion team here than watch the Pens get ripped away from their history in Pittsburgh.

thankfully i know the pens are staying in pittsburg. i know someone who works for the nhl and heard from an insider that they are staying. now, with bettman as the president, he might use the fact that kc wants a team, and maybe houston will push for one as well, so he might try to expand again. but unless i hear something different soon, pittsburg will have a team still next year.

When all is said and done, I think Pittsburg will offer the Penguins a sweet enough deal that they decide to stay.

Chances are in the end they don't move. Thing is though that Mario is really upset with the city and State officals, and for good reason.

When it comes right down to it I don't think they'll make the move to KC.
