I have a pink female convict. And the male is a tan color with black stripes. What kind is he? And will him and the pink convict ever breed?

Your male is probably a black convinct cichlid. Yep, they should spawn when they are both old enough. Convicts breed like rabbits so you should not have any problems, sometimes it just takes a little while longer than you'd expect :)

They're both the same breed. They're just differen't color morphs. Its like red & a burnette haired people.

They will breed. Give them a flat rock inserted at an angle or a 3" terra cotta pot (like $0.79 from michaels crafts). Give them a couple months & they'll start breeding. They breed pretty young, and unlike most other fish, they are not very selective of their mates.
