I don't think that it is to early to test especially if she goes to the doctor they can do a blood test very early and that is the most accurate. I did several home pregnancy tests when i was pregnant with my first 2 children and they all came back negative but when i went to the doctor because i was getting sick all the time they said i was 10 weeks during this whole time i had my period however it was very light. I though the whole time that i was pregnant but didn't act on it because the test were negative. I am pregnant again now with my 3rd child and i did a home test with this one first also but this time it came back positive right away when it's suppose to take 3 minutes

I do think she can be pregnant. When I got pregnant (the first time around) that's exactly what happened to me. Got my period, only lasted about two days but really light and not really red at all but muddy and brown. It probably isn't too early to test now. It will just come up as a very faint positive cos it's early in the piece. If she is pregnant it would be about 4 -5 weeeks along by now!! Good Luck and maybe congratulations!!!

PEACE & LOVE & ALL THAT

Normally, pregnancy tests will tell you wither or not your pregnant right before your first missed period. As far as the bleeding goes, was it at the time of her normal period? If so is she having hot and cold flashes? If so then it could be the beginning of menopause. If not, is she having pain during urination? If so it could be an urinary tract infection. Normally people won't bleed for just one day. If it is a UTI then she needs to get into a doc. If it's not, she should still go and see a doc to find out what is going on and what to do about it. Good luck and I hope everything turns out OK.

I can barely understand what you said up there. But I am guessing that you want to know if your mother is able to take a pregnancy test??

There are many test you can buy over the counter that for most people can tell them within days of the conception. So yes, she could take a test and find out if she is pregnant.

me last peroid was jan 11 and i have to wait till the 8th of feb to do a home test. um on anlther note, your mom is 44, maybe you should look into the dangers that can happen with being preg. at that age. but as for taking a test now, its too soon

No, it's not too early, have her take the test. I hope you will have your baby brother or sister soon. Good luck to your mother.

It is very possible that she is pregnant. I know the pregnancy tests are more advanced than they used to be. She should try one and retry it after a few more weeks.

a 'one' day period? that's not very encouraging. each individual woman will normally have a 'set' number of eggs. when theyre gone theyre gone. she should see her doctor to determine whether she is actually ovulating or what else might be going on before she tries to get pregnant or feels that she might be.
good luck peace
