What happens if you buy books from a bookstore, scan them and then return them for a refund? Isn't it a good way to save money?

If you post your intention to do so in a public forum, and then you get caught, you get sued for copyright infringement, and then you get a big fine or sent to jail...

Yes.

However, it will take SEVERAL HOURS to scan the book and if you consider you can make at least $5.15 USD per hour it will be a lot smarter to work at Wal-Mart for a few hours the day you are not working and you will make enough to buy the book.
