Holy books are often not translated properly from the original. A holy book is the only place where i assume you somehow know that "God says it is." On the common king James addition, (i believe that was the one modern day bibles are based off of and it had the one small anti gay reference) it said something like "if a better translation is available, use it." The translation is actually terrible, as languages can be very different, and who is to stop, say a high official, from throwing in new things that were never said in the original bible? Try learning Hebrew and Latin and read the original. Also how can you say a God would send millions of people to hell from something they were born being, gay?

i could type out why i believe homosexuality is not a sin till my fingers fall off but nothing will change your belief unless u are open-minded enough to listen to others. that being said, there exists such a thing as "seperation of church & state". Homosexuality as a sin is a religious view & should not allow ppl to deny rights. You probably also believe that its a choice, not that u are born that way. Well i dont remember THAT as one of the choices on the SAT. Bottom line: u will always believe as u want, as will i. But that gives u NO right to judge me or any other gay person. I cant wait till u met God & he says "Oh my Gawd! That is the cutest outfit I ever saw!"

I think that people who disparage any of God's children for being exactly as God made them, whether that is LGBT or straight, is committing a horrible sin. To boot, if they claim to be a "christian," they are also a hypocrite.
God didn't say any such thing. The HUMANS who wrote the bible did. Oh, of course, and the hypocrites mentioned above.

lol you said it right there , if you dont believe in the bible. their are so many "Gods" worshipped in this world and not all religons believe its a sin. The white american straight man is intimidated bby the gay man. Why? who knows tho at the same time the same str8 man likes watching 2 girls in porn, same thing diffrent equipment so different rules? the only sin is judging others for doing something that if you where truly straight would not affect your life in anyway. Bible thumpers always point out the sins of the others yet we're all sinners according to the bible, and have broke at least one commandment in our lifetimes, Worry about your own soul

men wrote the Bible. NOT God.
God made all Living Things. Man being one of those things.
God made everyone different
We were all made differently (I believe to teach us tolerance)
there are gay animals in just about every species.
just as there are people and animals born with physical differences or disabilities.
It is only "MAN" and "SOCIETY" that deem it a sin. There are some cultures that do not look down on homosexuality.

Tab is right. Men wrote the Bible. Now you just admitted that God created us all, now here's a question for you. Do you believe in a book that men wrote & that God is wrong? After all you just said that he created us all & I don't think God makes mistakes?

If god made me, he made me like I am and as the saying goes he doesn't make junk. What about the biblical lines stating we were created in his image? maybe God is gay and straight is abnormal. Pisses you off to consider that doesn't it? I could personally care less what a book written by falliable men centuries ago has to say. I love myself and if for some reason there is a higher power out there that doesn't love and accept me tough s**t. It's loss not mine.

Several people discount books more than 1,000 years old when looking for answers to questions.
Aside from the Bible and the Koran I'm guessing you don't often reference books older than 1,000 years old in answering your day to day queries as well.

Because not everyone follows your specific religious beliefs.
Why is that such a difficult concept?
