I smile at people all the time -most are pleasant some are not. I had someone ask me once if I was high I said "yes-high on life" I know that's corny but it shut them up.. so go ahead and smile you might make someones day!

Yes, Its true some of the time. I smile at people alot just to be kind because it takes them off guard..very few people freely smile (especially in NYC.) I found that smiling makes people feel happier ,and less guarded because you acknowledge them and even though you are a stranger you show a kind affection towards them by the simple "smile". It works and it is so much better than a scowl.

Honestly, I don't think this is true!

Cause, life is basically filled with UPS & DOWNS, and no matter how hard you try to stay away from anything bad in your life, it'll come and get you, cause this is MEANT for you to occur in your life... PLUS: You'll gain experience and learn a new lesson in your life which eventually will make you stronger as you move on.

So, I don't think that this phrase is actually a correct one.

From a personal experience which I'm not "THAT OLD" to tell stories or be wise or anytihng.... From the couple of times, I've been in deep situations & cried as hell and really wished for all of my toruble to vanish. Afterwards, I did thank God because I learned some valuable lessons after each obstacle I faced in my life & I was taught something new in my life.

So after all...

THIS IS LIFE, DEAR!!!! :)

Nothing will ever be the same, you'll face the good and the bad in your life, no matter how young, or old you are.

Absolutely so! One just has to try it in practice, whether you "feel" it or not at the moment. It is a natural law that you will get back that which you give and you will find your own day going much better than anticipated. It works!
Also, try smiling when you are on the phone. Your caller can definitely "HEAR" your smile and you will reap the benefits. Trust me.

One of the reasons is that each statement reflects the other as they are naturally caused by the law of action, that is, if there is an action, then there will be a reaction related to the said action. I mean in terms of decent, normal, on average people who are ready to smile back, in response of your sincere smile.

depends on the world's mood. Most smiles are contagious and cause a reaction to make others smile back. others might resent you for being so happy when they're sad. Others might not react at all.

so its true sometimes

I think its true. Life is perspective. If you wake up every morning ready to tackle the day, ready to live like theres no tomorrow, then the world will be a better place for you.

Depends on who you smile at and when.
